Hand sketching and digital design
The relationship between sketching and AM design is ambivalent. Some AM designers are more proficient in digital design tools and they feel more comfortable expressing and exploring their ideas only digitally. For others, hand sketching is still important, but with digital design tools, they can do things that would be difficult with hand sketching.
